In 2010 I drew, "Silver Demon," with dry pastel and prismacolor pencil on Cougar 23x31 paper.
Silver, is one of the daughters to the Demon Lord, Canis Rayet. Normally, when born, most of his children are charcoal colored with a silver glisten to their skin and solid cold black eyes. However, Silver, being born from an unknown goddess, as Canis Rayet has had many women, Silver assumed her mother was special in order to dominate over his genes. She presumably inherited her mother’s white skin and green eyes, but not freedom. Trapped like a trophy on her father’s heaven, he demanded that she stays where she is, protected by all the demons, which he controls. But her dream is to leave to find her mother and to also find who or what she and her mother are.
With all her freedom she's had time to discover her abilities. From her eyes, she can see perfectly during the day and night, but if she focuses long enough she can see through objects. Her black nails can tear through anything but metal and she has canine teeth that are like a vampire. She knows there are more abilities and hopes her mother can help, even with something uncomfortable that tugs on her insides. The same problem humans have - emotions and desire’s, which is nothing like her other siblings that lack, so she knows she is deprived of these experiences. Unfortunately, there is no one on the heaven that she can or would like to trial a relationship with. They wouldn’t be like what she reads in books and the handsome paintings. Like the ones of her father kissing or embracing the women of his past, all the mortals, immortals, and goddesses.
If Silver, can just escape without one of the demons catching her, she could start to live the life she dreams about, to find her mom, learn about her abilities, and develop a love for someone.
Escaping is unexpected, as demons are not always clever. However, Silver is half demon and smart like her father. Besides, who said daddy was the only one that could control the demons?
This print is reproduced on high quality 100lb Cougar, matte paper. Stunning quality and packed into a protective archival sleeve.
