In 2010 I drew, "Soul Reaper," with mechanical pencil and charcol Strathmore 14x17 paper stock.


DESCRIPTION

The Grim Reaper causes the victim's death by coming to collect their soul. Annoyingly, some people try to hold on to life by avoiding Death's visit, or by contesting Death with bribery or tricks. Since the Reaper is male, female is of life. So Death created a daughter made from the collected female souls and bone. Now as the reapers daughter appears before the soul to collect, they think she is of life and freely walk with her unknowingly to the underworld.
