In 2012 I painted, "Ursa Minor #3, April," through BDI, with oil, acrylic paint, and mechanical Pencil, Prismacolor pencil on Strathmore 11x17 paper. April took me roughly 180hrs to paint. Stunning quality and  packed into a protective archival sleeve.




For this cover, I first drew a completely different cover than the one above. After I finished the first cover I turned it over to BDI, but I expressed how much I did not like it. I was disgusted of it. To me, the cover was like a little child drew it. Therefore, I was given the opportunity to redo the cover and so I turned in the above painting. Everything was good to go for printing and I was happy that the bad cover would never see the light of day, besides, it had a lot of horrible attachments of my life on that paper. Unfortunately, when it came time to print the comic, somehow the printers got hold of the old file, the first one, and then it was printed. I was devastated, still am, it's a horrible cover. But the funny thing is, inside of a #3 comic it will show the image above as the cover. This is the true cover not the other one.

The print is reproduced on high quality 100lb Cougar, matte paper.
