In 2018 I painted, "G.I. Joe Silent Option #1," through IDW, with oil, airbrush paint, and Prismacolor pencils on Hammermill acid free archival paper.

This cover was so much fun but with a bit of nervousness as I got to be involved through IDW with Hasbro. It was very important that I was caring because the expectation with my direction of Dawn Moreno. Besides, Hasbro is huge. I then drew up a concept and turned it in, but Hasbro was worried that she was too sexy. So they gave me the go, but with no promises to take the cover after it was painted. However, I assured IDW that I would make it work for Hasbro. When it came time to turn it in I was nervous since I had to wait to get the approval vs. knowing the cover would be accepted from the concept, but that wasn't the case. They could turn it down, but luckily I had played my cards right and did what Hasbro wanted by keeping Dawn a young lady with hardly any sex appeal and they accepted the final cover.
